Busy Week Learning to Read!

Constitution Day

Last Thursday, September 17, we watched the Schoolhouse Rock video about the Preamble to the Constitution.  After talking about why we need a constitution to make sure we all get what we need and get along, we wrote a 'classroom constitution' and everyone signed it.

August Highland Hero

Each month each teacher selects two students that exhibit the characteristics of a Highland Hero.  HERO stands for honesty, enthusiasm, respect and optimism.  Sam and Jayla were the August Highland Heros from our class.  I can't wait to see who will be our September Heros!
