After watching the movie The Polar Express, each child received a ticket. Later we heard the train whistle and the conductor calling "All aboard!" When we opened our classroom door, there was the Polar Express. After having our tickets punched, we sat on the train while the conductor read the story to us. When we came back in our room, each child had a bell waiting at his/her table. You can only hear the bell if you believe!

Christmas Around the World
Thanks to the moms and grandmas that came to help out with Christmas Around the World! We had a station for Japan with their Christmas cake and a key ornament. One Germany station focused on decorating a Christmas tree because that is where that tradition originated. Our second Germany station was about their tradition of hiding a pickle on the tree. Each child made a pickle ornament for his/her tree at home. In our Mexico station, the kids made their own poinsettia. In the United States station, the kids made reindeer food to leave out for Santa's reindeer on Christmas Eve! Santa surprised us with a visit and gave the kids their present from Ms. Emilee and me.
